How to Submit a Proposal

There are two stages to the 3DTotal book submission process:

1. Basic Proposal: Email moc.latotd3@oj with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your email
  • Your website address (if applicable)
  • 300 – 400 word description of your book, including a summary and why you believe it will appeal to our audience. This is your chance to really sell your book, so please don’t be modest and hold back – we want to know what makes your book stand out and why it will be a success.

Your basic proposal will be considered by the 3DTotal Publishing team and we hope to be able to let you know if it has been accepted in two weeks.

2. Detailed Proposal: If your initial proposal is accepted, then we will ask you to complete the 3DTotal Publishing Proposal form, which can be download here:

3DTOTAL PUBLISHING PROPOSAL FORM

Please complete this form to the best of your ability and then email it to jo@3dtotal.com. Once your full submission has been reviewed by the 3DTotal Publishing team, we will then email you to confirm if we will be moving ahead with the publication of your book.

3DTotal Publishing is an independent publishing house specializing in books in the digital art industry. Since being launched back in 2010, the company has gone from strength to strength. As well as publishing the next volumes in the popular Digital Art Masters and Digital Painting Techniques series, we have also launched several new titles including Beginner’s Guide to Digital Painting in PhotoshopElysium – The Art of Daarken, Prime and Beginner's Guide to Creating Manga Art.

3DTotal Publishing is now looking to expand and is inviting book proposals from artists or companies who wish to share their work with a global audience. Whether you’re an established industry professional or a newcomer looking to make your mark, we want to hear from you. It doesn’t matter what the subject of your proposal is, as long as it is related to digital art in some way. Please review this site to learn more about our current titles and the types of books we typically publish.

Why 3DTotal?

While we may not have the dominance of larger publishing houses, 3DTotal Publishing have a proven track record in publishing and can offer a unique inroad into the world of digital art publishing. Our success speaks for itself. We have 12 years in the CG art industry behind us, have produced over 180 online magazines and eBooks, and have sold almost 7,000 copies of our first self-published book in just 14 months, and 2,000 copies of our latest book in just 2 months. Thanks to the quality of our work and publications we have established strong links with the film, TV and games industries, and with representatives in American, Canada, UK, Europe and the Far East promoting and distributing our books to a global audience, we predict great growth in the future.

But it’s more than just facts and figures. As a small, independent company 3DTotal Publishing can offer a much more personal, hands-on approach than traditional publishing houses. We have invaluable industry contacts and an established pipeline that will ensure a smooth production process. Our team includes experienced artists, designs and editors who will help you through this process from start to finish. If you have particular ideas about the appearance of the book then we will be happy to incorporate these into the design. Equally if you want the design elements to be taken out of your hands then all you need to provide is the text and images and our in-house team will be happy to put together some layout samples for your approval. In fact, you will have the chance to approve changes to your book at every stage of the pipeline, making the publication of your title a truly collaborative process.

We can also offer a generous royalty arrangement that is markedly higher than that offered by other publishers and free promotion and advertising throughout our publication network.
